Easter Reminder

This morning as I woke to a house of peacefully sleeping people and a very alert one year old, and as I tip-toed to the Kitchen to feed my one year old the usual Bananas, Cheerios and a treat of a Hard boiled Easter Egg, I was reminded of the Savior who came to this earth to redeem me of my sins.

You see, a year ago this time, my husband and I were the foster parents of two precious girls. They were our world before re-uniting with their birth-mother. A piece of my heart was missing as they left and a brick of self protection went up around my emotions, as I wondered whether or not that one year we had them was even significant in their young lives.

This morning, I know that it was not only significant in their mortal life, but their eternal life as well. This morning I found a letter from my youngest foster daughter. She loves writing letters, and as an Easter present my husband and I, whom they still affectionately call dad whenever we get the privilege of visits, bought her a journal and fancy pencil. A piece of paper that was torn out of her Journal and stuck to the Refrigerate by magnet read as follows:

Dear Jesus,
I will worship you for who you are I will worship you for who you are because you are spirit in the holy god because you are our savioer in the name of Jesus Crist I love you God you really are the savier of our whole life. I know you will always help us and always pertect us forever jesus Christ and I know even if were bad you stll love us all.

I love you Jesus Christ. (misspellings reflect her 2ND grade knowledge)

Even though this letter was not titled to me. It was all the same. Jesus came to save and "pertect" us from our sins and no matter what we do, we can never take his love from us. This morning not only do I know that I made a difference in her life, but I know that she has impacted my life and faith in ways that continue to make me understand the love of my Father in heaven.

So today, go out and share his love, knowing that "We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19.)

Happy Easter
