Wow. I cannot remember the last time I have felt so loved and supported.
Since Brandon's surgery friends and family have flocked to my, our, support. I have had meals provided for my family for over a month. Gift certificates given to me for family pizza nights, and family ice cream outings, as well as a few starbucks and peet's coffee G.C. for my own personal relief while low on energy. People have tended to our yard, cleaned my house, volunteered to launder my laundry, and do a few grocery store errands on my behalf. Visits to Brandon have been constant and near daily, to pray for, with and lift his spirits in general. Our children have been provided for with volunteer care, snacks and the occasional treat. It is seriously overwhelming.
Brandon and I sat down the other night to figure out a list of thank yous and we gathered over 50 names of people who have come to our aide in our time of need over the last month. And so, it is with grateful and humbled hearts that we bleed our thank yous. Words will never describe the way God has used his people, their generosity and kind hearts to be his helping hands, blessing us to the point of our cup overflowing.
This may not be an easy road in our life, but the load has been softened with your help and consideration. God says he will never give us more than we can handle, and he was right. He is with us every step of the way, and sends support to lean on when we are weak and cannot tread any farther on our own. Our faith in people is fully restored. Our own faith in the Lord strengthened. We soar on wings of eagles when the Lord's family comes together.
So thank you.
