I called you daughter
And I love you like one still.
I don't understand your choices
But I understand why you have chosen
To run from me too.
I'm saddened by your choices
And the lifestyle of hurt and anguish
You have decided to follow.
You know better
I tried my best to teach you well
You are lying to yourself
You are hiding in a crowd of strangers
With which you call friends
My heart aches for you
I guess your birth mom was right
You do need Jesus.
Of course you need Jesus.
You know of him, his truth...
His love...his promise.
But just as you have chosen to use
And reject me, so have you chosen to reject him.
One day, I hope
You will mature past the reckless teenager you have become
Until then know
Just as Christ loves you unconditionally,
So do I.
Just as Christ will wait for you to choose a life worthy to the calling he has placed upon your precious head,
So shall I wait for my prodigal child to return.
I love you as my oldest child.
I will always love you.
I may not agree with your choices or decisions, as you already know
But my love for you remains unscathed.
I pray you learn to be honest with yourself and choose what is best for you...
As opposed to what you think will make you fit in.
