I don't know what it is about vacations, they do something for me. Some people save their money for big houses, fancy cars, new technology or stylish clothing. Not me. I would rather live in bare minimum in order to save and blow all the money in savings for vacations. Every Wednesday I get an e-mail subscription from a discount travel company, whereupon I check out of the world for 20-30 min. and fantasize about all the exotic places to visit in the world. I am a different person on vacation. I am completely free of obligations. I get to relish in the company of my most loved. I bond through lasting memories that I capture behind the lens of my camera. I check out of the world for the weekend or week that we are out. I read books, venture through beautiful and fun attractions. I come home rested and renewed ready to take on the daily grind that home offers. Vacation is like a total sabbath, where I rest in the glory of God's creation.
My bucket list is comprised of places I wish to visit and adventures I desire to tackle. One day I hope to cross off everyone of them. With my new job, I am excited as the pay raise will hopefully allow such possibilities as the Mediterranean, Egypt and Rome. Yes, vacation is on the brain, family in tow, oasis of thoughts and dreams. Hot air ballooning, romantic B&B's, safaris, and road trips to name a few of the upcoming plans I fathom to partake....
