Freeze frame

Have you ever had such a good day that you didn't know how to explain it? Just an ordinary day filled with happiness.  A day that you want to review over and over again in your mind.  Today was such a day for me.  IT seemed as if I was blessed with an extra long day to rest and play with my beloveds. Perhaps it is just because it is mother's day  weekend that I am soaking up a little extra love, but regardless, I loved it all.  And so I fill the need to record the events before memory slips and fades...

As I sit here and type I find that I have continued to delete my sentences as words cannot encompass the beauty of the day.  And so here were some of the highlights:

Friday night: Mother/daughter Tea Party.

Both my girls were tickled pink at winning a raffle prize!

5:45 am-9:00: 8 mile jaunt with my pop in perpetration for our big hike.

Lowe's build it workshop with Girl Scouts
10-11:30

Manicures from my little while her siblings nap

Backyard cherry picking: we stripped the tree and Tabbers nearly ate them all!

Diggin in the dirt with my boy

Sitting back and realizing what an awesome kid he is...

Hannah told me to: "relax mom" and so I lay on the couch reading a book while the kids cleaned the house for me: picked up all their toys and garbage and even put away all their clothes folded on the couch

Daddy and kids picked up take-out for dinner followed by family movie night

Feeling loved with homemade Mother's Day gifts from school/daycare crafts

Rocked my baby to sleep

Tucked in my big boy who chooses to sleep on his crib mattress in mommy's room

Finally coaxed my comedian to call it a night, who by the way is also sleeping on her crib mattress...because they just don't stay little forever darn it

Sunday came with the greatest gift ever as my daughter sang me an original song at church
