An Apparent Project Jewelry party is one of the most hands-on ways that you can immediately help an impoverished family provide for their basic needs while maintaining their dignity in the process. Empowering a person to work is the kind of gift that lasts far beyond a hand-out. The "Apparent Project" is trying to help mothers and fathers in poverty be A PARENT to their children. We are educating and taking care of street kids who don't have A PARENT. We are using media and the arts to make the needs of Haiti APPARENT to those who can help, and we are doing this all with the hope that the love of God will be made more APPARENT to those we humbly serve and that He will be known as A PARENT to the parentless.
I have recently become a "consultant" for The Apparent Project. And I will be hosting my first party come June 28th at my home from 5:00-8:00 pm. This is not like other Jewelry Parties you have been to. I am not earning money for myself. 100% of the profit goes directly to the women artist and each item of Jewelry comes with a picture and backstory of the artist. I have become very emotional over this, and I know you will too if you just attend the party and interact with the pieces.
We live in such a privileged society. And it becomes overwhelming to me to think of life any other way. And so this is one way WE can give back. We can buy and wear these women's art. They are a conversational piece to say the least, the match your work attire, and make great gifts for any occasion. And the best part it-THEY ARE TOTALLY affordable.
You know me, I am not ABOUT to shell out a buck without careful consideration, but I am talking about $5-$20 out the door. It is guilt free shopping. You get an item to wear, talk about that item while you wear it, and spread the word! Let's help the women of Haiti together!
Here is a sample of the incredible hand-crafted Jewelry:
