A last, a moment to breathe. Where do I begin? January has taken ALL energy from me as a full time kindergarten teacher, yearbook adviser, student at national university, mom of two under two, and wifely duties. A top of all this, I also joined the worship team at COCC. whew, little to say I have had little sleep and even less free time, but overall I think the busy-ness will pay off. This is my final week of school and whether or not I complete my homework I have passed the course, therefore earning my secondary credential, making me eligible to teach Biology and life sciences from 7th grade on. If you had asked me upon high school graduation if I wanted to teach science to high-schoolers I would have looked at you sideways and questioned your sanity. But, here I am. I guess this goes to show ya, you never know where God is going to take you, so be ready to follow him wherever he leads.
While focusing so heavily on essay after lengthy essay, I have entirely neglected my home chores. Bless my husband, he has tried to pick up the slack, but to no avail as Hannah has reached her terrible twos early and follows closely behind him. As he cleans a room, she quickly destroys it. And of course, mopping, dusting and laundry are not in his resume so I have much to catch up on!
Cooking, Ha! I have not cooked more than one meal a week in the last month, and we all know it. I cannot wait to start having energy to cook a non-prepackaged meal! Fresh fruit and steamed veggie's are calling my name. I look forward to actual conversations with my friends as opposed to the quick text exchanges.
The kids I must say have not been affected because when mommy gets home, mommy is home to play until bed time! Zachary is crawling everywhere and Hannah is well, acting two complete with "no" and "mine!" Oh how I look forward to sleeping!
A huge shout out goes to my parents who have been an awesome support! Watching the kids on weekly occasion and preparing a few meals to feed my nutrition starved family! Even allowing me to hang out at their house to catch a breather!
